Hurricane Katrina Relief

Part 1 - Toys:
Well, Georgia Contributors...you have done it again! We were able to deliver
400 new toys to the children of Slidell, Louisiana! The Slidell Women's
Civic Organization received our gifts. They will meet specific needs within
the schools and provide the rest to the local Toys-for-Tots event.
In addition to toys, we had miscellaneous household items (lamps, Christmas
decorations, clothes, etc.). They will be given to the area's women's
shelter that lost their storage facility. Also, we delivered boxes of
library books that will replace those destroyed by the storm.
Part 2 - Coats:
 The
Rotary Club of Effingham Sunrise donated over 200 coats to the people of
Kiln, Mississippi. This is an overflow of Mission 3. The coats will be used
for the "Christmas in the Kiln" event where Santa will visit to distribute
toys, blankets and coats to area families.

Part 3 - Donations:
The patients and staff of Rincon Chiropractic (Rincon, GA.) has donated
$1400 to aid in the hurricane relief efforts. The funds will be disbursed to
the following distribution centers: Bayou Talla Fellowship Church (Kiln,
MS.), Picayune Church of God (Picayune, MS.) and Grace Memorial Baptist
Church (Slidell, LA.).
As I have said many times before, thank you for allowing me to be your hands
and feet in this time of crisis. And remember...just because those
struggling in Mississippi and Louisiana are not headline news anymore
doesn't mean their needs are any less devastating.
